An inaugural meeting was held on November 16th 2008 in Rothesay, NB to discuss interest in forming a Premier Women's Soccer League between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Amongst those present there was consensus that a competitive, premier environment and league is absent in women's soccer. The proposed goals of the NB-PEI Women's PSL would be to provide a venue for elite athletes to continue to play soccer, to develop and compete at the highest level and to further build soccer in our provinces.
